One of the things I love about Middlesex is that the uni does a great job encouraging student involvement and showcasing student talents. This Christmas season, students were involved with the MDXmas market, which included arts and crafts stalls and a choir performance of Christmas favorites. Jess Hawke, a fashion student, came up with the idea for the first ever MDX Christmas market. You can read more about the story behind it here. Besides the arts and crafts stalls, we had a jolly snowman, a photo op at the snow globe, a “rodeo reindeer,” and festive sweets like mince pies and mulled wine. Hopefully, future students can take on the organizing bit and make this happen every year!
